Of Mice and Monitors

Face up to it BPG, you're spending way too much time in front of your cmptr monitor! And way too much time pushing your mouse around your desk. Which is why you've got that splitting headache caused by the chronic right shoulder ache caused by repetitive strain injury.

Yeah, I am. I'm a net addict. First thing in the morning I rush to the cmptr. Last thing at night I rush to it. My "day-job" is spent glued to it.  Every spare leisure-time minute I'm glued to it.

Is this what life is meant to be? Born to spend the rest of our lives sitting at a desk in front of the monitor? Shit, give a convict in solitary confinment 24/7 net access and they could live this "Ultimate Life." Is this the pinnacle of Abe Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs? The whole world sitting peering through the looking glass, mesmerised by the World Wide Wonderland? Yeah, we've come so damn far. . .

This is one of the reasons I'm trurning into a podcast addict. OK so its also an addiction but at least I get to escape The Monitor and The Mouse and look through a real window for a change instead of through Billy Gates' Windows. Yeah, the more I think of it, the more I'm gonna start culling the RSS feeds and upping the Podcast feeds. And maybe even get beyond the window out through a door sometime.
