A freaky coincidence

Anybody who knows me reasonably well will know that I have one magic talisman that has followed me through life - the Letter Y. It has always cropped up in weird synchronistic ways that point to a hidden esoteric knowledge.

A few years ago (when I was in an esoteric phase) I designed my own personal mandala:

A circle with 8 large Y's in it, each at the 8 points of the compass.

Y hasn't appeared on my radar for some time.

...until the other day when I was surfing over my house in Google Earth. Across the road from us is some empty land owned by the Navy. This is what I saw on Google Earth in the navy land (about 200 metres from my house):

Yeah, a friggin circle with 8 Y's at the 8 points of the compass.

Am I reading things into nothing, or is this a fairly high-strength coincidence???

Dude! For sanity's sake please read up on the totally random and ultra-common occurrence of coincidence and synchronicity. Happens to everyone, everywhere, all the time. There's an evolutionary survival component involved that's hard-wired into the human brain.

Because you're going through a particularly vulnerable period I say (with love): "Pay no attention to that man behnd the curtain!"

My paranoia never ends, but I haven't been paranoid about being spied on by shadowy forces for some time now.

  3. you know...i'm not telling you to get paranoid here...obviously because having a mandala and having something coincide with it in such a way wouldn't be any cause for paranoia...

but - i, being a highly spiritual person, believe that things happen for a reason. and i, being the person that i am, immediately smiled when i saw that picture and said to myself..."someone is protecting him."

    but of course, i'm crazy.

    =)

  6. Coincidence happens all the time....enjoy it but don't make too much of it unless you have taken out a sizeable loan from a shark, are overdrawn, and keep getting beat up without explanation....

  8. Well there aren't any shadows to speak of (compared to the trees on the left) so the whole structure miust be pretty low to the ground. It seems there are paths extending out from many but not all of the points of the Y so if it is actually oriented along the compass points I would guess some sort of observatory considering your home is on a headland by the sea. It might be quite old, actually. Have you considered researching historical British Navy installations to find something similar? ANd can you approximate its scale in relation to the building?

The thing you might want to consider before starting to answer all these questions is: what sort of penaltues does South Africa impose for spying?

No, you're not paranoid or delusional. It's a good thing that your significant image or form isn't a rectangle, though.

  9. Maybe it was a collective conscience experience.

  10. Noticing coincidences and applying meaning to them is a recognised symptom of bipolar disorder. It keeps happening to me but it doesn't mean anything. Honest.
