Dear BiPolar Guy...

I do not have the answers to your letter you sent me yesterday. I can only make suggestions.

I have been watching you the past few weeks and have to agree that you have mellowed somewhat since meditating every day. And it is not a bad thing, so whatever you do don't ditch meditation for me. Why does it have to be an Either/Or thing anyway? You know yourself that you treat far too many situations as mutually exclusive.

I think you need to lighten up. Maybe you're trying to hard. You don't need to be so serious with me all the time. Sometimes we can just have fun you know. Fool around and all that shit.

I happen to be privy to the fact that you're leaving for a weeks camping trip this Sunday. Maybe we need a break. Just hang in till then and have a rethink when you get back. But WHATEVER you do, do not cut me out of your life. At worst you can change me from BiPOlar Daily to BiPolar Daily(ish). But remember: one of the main reasons you were attracted to me in the first place was to force yourself to write on days when you didn't feel like it. And you know what - you've done damn well so far.

You know yourself that you've still got a lot of things to say. OK, so they may not all be about BiPolar. But I'm more felxible than you give me credit for. I can handle a lot of different ideas. There are no rules other than the ones you and I make. It really doesn't matter what the rest of the world thinks.

So please, don't make that sunset you posted a few days ago into an accurate omen. I don't want to see you riding off into that red sunset.

Trust yourself. Deep inside you've got all the answers BPG.

Yours

  1. I hope you enjoy your camping.
I think "BLOG" makes some good points. It is your space, your blog, your place to express your thoughts, feelings, and life. If you want to fool around here, feel free to. ;)
I've been hiding in the shadows reading for a while now. I know that if you did ride off into the sunset you would be missed by many of your blog-mates... even the ones that are just hiding in the shadows.
Daily(ish) would be much better than good-bye.

  2. Blog is quite correct, take a break, and relax. But don't cut him out of your life.

    Know the feeling though.
