Ohh my God, I thought our news was barbaric & depressing. It's nothing compared to yours. The h2o quality story really got to me. Is that for Cape Town or for the entire African area? It really makes me sad/frustrated. The bastards.

Me again. I've read your blogs about Lamictal, and I'm on it too. I just started about 6 months ago, so it's really only been about 4 months worth of pulling me up out of the darkness. I'm on 300mg now, in addition to my cocktail of Topamax, Abilify, prozac and a few others for other ailments. When Lamical first started working it was like a small mania, because it was spring fever & daylight savings time. Now that has leveled off. I'm wayyy less depressed, able to do more on a daily level than before, but still not able to work for a living yet. I guess I'm wondering if you'd be willing to divulge how much lamictal you're taking, since it got you through a year, minus a severe Nov. depression. Which is when I usually go down too.

  3. Well I find your news comparable with ours. On the topic of the water issue. We have had a couple towns that suddenly had to distribute bottled drinking water because their water supplies had been contaminated but the problems were quickly resolved ( in a matter of a few days) The rest tho not exactly the same I do find comaparable. The news coming out of Fresno every night has usually at least one often more murders, stabbings ,shootings etc.At least the entire first half of the news is on the daily violence going on. Its gotten so depressing that I have quit watching.

  5. On the bright side, South African products have started to pop up here in South Korea. I've bought a few litres of Dewlands tetra-pack apple juice and a dozen bottles of various South African wine, quite drinkable plonk labeled St. Anna, St. Morand and St. Vincent. All white with varying alcohol content from 8% through 12%. They should last me the summer.
