French Corner

...actually the real name of the town is Franschhoek, which is Dutch for "french corner". It's a little town in the mountainous winelands about 1,5 hours from where we live. The French who emigrated to South Africa many centuries ago made it their own little corner of the land. Mrs M and I took a drive up there yesterday, stayed overnight, and only got home this afternoon. More photos:

  1. mrs M's face reflection in the water looks a bit weary to me. did you perhaps force her one too many times to pose for your photo shoot?

  2. What a beautiful place. I can feel the peace in those pictures. I sure would love to be there right now. We have piles and piles of snow and unending freezing temperatures.

Thanks for sharing that bit o' sunshine with us. :)

  4. I'm sure Mrs. M's nose is lovelier than the rippled reflection suggests.
