At the end of the day...

At the end of the day it's only being at peace with yourself that counts. You are the only one who was there throughout your life. You are the only one who truly knows what was said, what was experienced and what was seen. Nobody else could ever know.

As Robert M Pirsig said:

"And what is good Phaedrus,
And what is not good -
Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?"

Anyone who has read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance will know that Phaedrus and him are the same person. And they know, they've also been committed to a psychiatric institution.

Yeah, 2007 has launched with another major personal crisis. It's been the story of the past 12 months - lurching from one crisis to the next, each one a bit more serious than the previous crisis.

One wonders how much worse they can get...

  1. From self-help books you will find "A crisis provides an opportunity for change and growth as well as a danger of regression or stagnation".

It is for you and Phaedrus to decide what is best for you.

  3. I like that book and I can really relate to the main character and Phaedrus.

Let's all hope the New Year improves for all of us. I feel like wood pulp today. :/
